API Management
APIs are at the heart of the Creation Platform and Cloud Native Applications, and a major capability in this eco-system. The API Management Department is an end-to-end department, with PDA, QA, DEV, DevOps located
across Nice and Bangalore.The work is delivered as part of the Creation Platform SAFe Solution, currently in Platform Portal & Interfaces train.
The department leads and fosters the development, operations as well as promotion and efficient consumption of Amadeus Services exposed to internal and external entities. It allows Amadeus to participate to the advent
of the digital transformation by enabling & boosting Amadeus Digital Channels. The department also drives the vision of API platform in the next years. Thanks to the API Portal (1a4DEV - evolving towards an integration in
the Creation Platform Portal), we deliver the access point to consume in an easy manner the Amadeus API and we deliver the tooling to allow developers to produce API to be exposed.
The API gateway, delivers the connectivity at scale to Amadeus customers exposing modern protocols (OAuth2, HTTP2) and guarantee the integration with Amadeus internal technologies when needed.
As a business analyst , the mission consists in contributing to the evolution of the Amadeus API Management platform to make it the new business enabler, and the foundation of an even more ambitious global platform at company level.
Common accountabilities:
- Works using existing procedures or guidelines and provides inputs to support/influence area decisions. Makes recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information.
- Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction from manager.
Specific accountabilities:
Assess requirements
* Build, maintain and share the functional knowledge of our processes, services and usage of end user products.
* Analyze business requirements submitted by Product Management.
* Size specification and validation work.
Carry out functional design
* Write Feasibility Studies, Solution Overview Documents, Interface Control Documents, Product Specifications and present functional walk-throughs to all concerned stakeholders.
* Interface with relevant divisions and departments to identify interactions with other Amadeus applications and ensure functional compatibility.
Overview validation
* Contribute to the implementation of the test strategy, and review test plan, to ensure compliance of the delivered functionality and system integrity
* Ensure traceability of tests with specifications
* Ensure production integrity by investigating, validating and prioritizing reported incidents.
Manage relations with key stakeholders
* Interface and communicate with Product Management, Project management, Amadeus Customer Services, Implementation, Migration and Development teams.
* Interface with the customer during requirements understanding, functional specification, testing and implementation phases.
Participate to team events
* Support team stakeholders by participating to team ceremonies: Agile forums, Team meetings, Solution assessments...
Should have prior experience of working in below mentioned technologies
API Management: Understanding of API lifecycle management, including design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring. Prior experience of working on API Gateways like Apigee will be a big plus
Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing data to derive insights and support decision-making.
SQL Proficiency: Ability to write and understand SQL queries for database interactions.
Technical Documentation: Skills in creating clear and comprehensive technical documentation, such as system requirements and process manuals.
Systems Analysis: Ability to evaluate and improve existing systems, workflows, and user requirements.
Cloud Technologies: Knowledge of cloud platforms and services, especially those related to API management.
Programming Knowledge: Basic understanding of programming languages and frameworks used in API development.
Tools : Experience working with the following tools : Postman , Swagger , SoapUI
