Process & Manufacturing Technology Engineer

As the Process & Manufacturing Technology Engineer you will serve as a resource in supporting current and future needs and capabilities across all CT Manufacturing sites.  They will complete manufacturing capability and processes assessments with the aim of continual improvement in capabilities that drive product reliability and sustainability into the future.  The role works closely with the Manufacturing Sites and R&D product teams to efficiently support delivery of new products, new capabilities, cost savings, and sustainability goals.  This role will initiate improvement projects across CT for existing processes and champion the development of the CT manufacturing process flowsheets of the future.

• Carry out process engineering design activities, following JM standards and procedures to schedule and budget as advised by the Lead Engineer / Principal Engineer / Technology Manager.
• Develop and take responsibility for the accuracy of detailed calculations, process engineering datasheets and process & equipment drawings & specifications to specify the process engineering requirements of our technologies.
• Remain up to date with the latest technical developments in your fields of expertise.
• Demonstrate, provide and develop appropriate technical solutions for specific project issues.
• Support detailed engineering, procurement and commissioning activities at site.
• Support internal development and continuous improvement activity as required.
• Take a proactive approach to personal & professional development.

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Equivalent
• Demonstrated experience (directly or supporting) chemical manufacturing environment with strong ties to business and manufacturing support projects
• Understanding of process safety principles and their application in HAZOP & commercial design
• Experience in basic engineering, detailed engineering, equipment design & specifications, procurement & commissioning
• Practical experience with plant and/or pilot plant equipment, especially dryers, ovens, mills, forming equipment, and raw materials handling
• Motivated to work independently or as part of a team
