Process Excellence Lead-SMR AC

We are searching for a Process Excellence Lead to join our team in SMR-Assembly Center, Hinjewadi Pune.

The role

The person in this position will be responsible for leading the process excellence activities of the PU which includes, Operational excellence such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, NVA reduction; SAP excellence – lead the SAP functionality implementation and support daily issue resolution of the end users.

Areas of responsibility:-

As the Process Excellence Lead, you will be accountable for all Process evaluations and thereby identifying the improvement opportunities in all the Operational functions of the PU (Production, Quality, Procurement, Warehouse, Planning). Another key responsibility will be on leading the SAP activities for the PU. The PU is scheduled to go for upgrade of the existing instance, needs to have the setup of export, integration of Teamcenter with SAP, go for various change requests as per the business needs; all these activities and the daily support on issue resolution for each module is expected from this position.  

Additional responsibilities include:

• Responsible for process studies of each function in the operations. Based on the study, come up with improvement opportunities to reduce the non-value added activities
• Responsible for driving the improvements in structured way (Kaizen, Six Sigma are the tools to be utilized).
• Drafting new processes for the introduction
• Conduct Kaizen events  
• Support the setup activities of the new factory
• Be the super user for SAP from PU side
• Master data Maintenance in SAP
• Initiate the capital investment cases
• Maintain and share the Operational excellence KPI’s to the management on a monthly basis
• Follow and maintain all safety EHS norms
• Represent the PU for the weekly/monthly SAP meetings with the global IT team

Your profile

Education / Experience

Masters Degree in Operations and Bachelors Degree with 8-10 Year Experience in Preferably in the Construction equipment/manufacturing industry.

Competencies

Excellent self-management and project management skills

Hands on experience and knowledge on Lean methodologies

Hands on experience in SAP implementation / Support for all modules  

Highly motivated and able to work in a team environment

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Project)

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, time management and planning skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Good understanding on EHS Standards

Must be detail oriented, and perform well under pressure
