The Solutions, Platforms, Technologies and NPI group within Solar Turbines (Gas Turbine Package Engineering) is on the front line of developing new, innovative products that are crucial to the success of customers in a wide range of Industries. We are looking for a motivated, creative, out of the box thinking, Design Engineer to work in a fast-paced engineering environment using the agile development process to see Solar experience profitable growth and make our customers successful.
What you will do:
A thorough understanding of the Turbomachinery Subsystems is highly desirable. Responsibilities in this key role spans from conceptual system design to providing functional, easily manufactured, and tested hydro-mechanical systems. This includes component design or selection to ensure the safe and reliable operation of new equipment. Duties include interpreting product and project requirements, as well as the development of product specific Process & Instrumentation Diagrams . This position requires work in multiple systems engineering areas including design analysis, cost reduction, supplier interfaces, product quality troubleshooting as well as the development and understanding and application of new technologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are imperative. Additional responsibilities include supporting field personnel during commissioning and installation of our equipment.
