About the position:
The Process Applications and Data Analytics Engineer is part of the Process Engineering and Automation team within Chevron’s ENGINE Center and will offer comprehensive support to process analytic and visualization tools in Chevron’s Upstream, Downstream and Midstream facilities.This includes design, implementation, and support of tools. This role Uses data analytics and data historians for configuring operations, maintenance, & process simulation data tools for establishing correlations & visualizations to identify value opportunities that improve performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Create process monitoring and data visualization tools to monitor equipment and processes at Chevron’s Facilities
This position will be populating historians, databases, and visualizations tools such as PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, and SEEQ
Stakeholder Management: Engage with various stakeholders to consolidate work processes from multiple locations into a centralized system
Standardization and Optimization: Use relationships and alignment skills to standardize and optimize work products and processes
Documentation and Tools: Utilize historians, databases, and visualizations tools such as PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, and SEEQ
Collaboration: Work closely with Facilities, Design, & Solutions (FD&S) Chapters within Chevron’s Technical Center (CTC)
Required Qualifications:
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science (B.E./B.Tech.) from a deemed/recognized (AICTE) university
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Data Analytics and Data Visualization tools, Including PI Asset Framework, SEEQ, and Python
Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder management
Preferred Qualifications:
5-10 years of experience in upstream, mid-stream, downstream or petrochemical processing
Experience using and developing process monitoring tool
Experience correlating data from multiple systems of record
Knowledge of Inductive Automation Ignition
Experience with building HTRI heat exchanger models
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
