The Role
As a Principal Process Engineer with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….
- As Principal Engineer – process, you will be responsible and accountable for providing oversight for all aspects of the process engineering activities including the definition and design of process engineering analysis and design of offshore fixed (WHP, CPP), Floating platforms (FPSO, FPU, FSRU, FLNG) and onshore LNG facilities.
- Manage process engineering talents through engineering technical expertise (Concept, FEED, and detailed design), procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up and eventual handover of the plant and its associated facilities.
- The Principal Engineer Process has the authority and responsibility for overall management of Lead’s in execution of the engineering activities on the project to ensure the work is undertaken safely, follows the project design requirements and applicable codes and standards, is completed within the approved budget and schedule, is in compliance with contractual terms and conditions, as well as company policies.
- Technical competence of process personnel (Training, Upskilling and Reskilling)
- Forecast requirement and allocation for process engineering and Design resources
- Provide assistance to the Process Engineering DM to the process engineering estimation and scope of work document for proposals.
- Review all design documents for compliance with Employer requirements and expectations, project codes, standards, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Participate, as instructed by Process Engineering DM, in relevant EPC Contractor design, safety or project reviews e.g. Value Engineering, P&ID reviews, HAZOP, SIL reviews etc.
- Assist the Process Engineering DM in the review of change orders and deviation requests.
- Ensure quality assurance of deliverables through an established audit trail.
- Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Project
- Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Project. Understand and follow OH&S procedures
- Demonstrable commitment to safety in design
- Managing and coordinating all technical reviews with stakeholders
- Enforcing the management of project change process (Management of change)
- Performance management, setting up KPI’s, Hiring and resource management, Competency and skill gap assessment and People connect
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- A Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering)
- 20 years of experience, 10 of which has been in conceptual studies, FEED and detailed design of offshore and LNG process facilities.
- 10 years Oil and Gas Industry experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good knowledge of process simulation packages such as HYSYS, PRO/II, Flarenet, Flaresim.
- Good commercial software knowledge, e.g. spreadsheets, word processing packages, databases.
- Experience with relevant process automation tools (e.g. Smartplant P&ID or AVEVA).
- Experience in the development of PFDs, Heat and Mass Balances. P&IDs, Line Lists.
- Experience in specification of related industry equipment.
- Knowledge of the codes and standards relating to the related industry
- Good report writing and verbal communication skills.
- Applicants require experience in Process Engineering (Offshore and LNG)
