Principal Engineer, Digital FPGA Design Engineering

Position Overview:
TheDigital Business Unit is currently looking for a highly skilledPrincipal Engineer for digitaldesign with a focus on FPGA. The candidate willbe responsible forhiring and leading a sub-team to prototype ADIs latest ASICs on state-of-the-art FPGA platforms.Selected candidate will join Analog Devices at the Bangalore office.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Establish and manage a sub-team focused on FPGA prototyping for Processor PL products.
Implement a fully functional prototype starting with RTL designs provided by design team using state-of-the-art FPGA platforms
Provide the prototype to other teams within ADI (software, evaluation, etc.), maintain the prototype for general usage and give support.
Assist / drive debugging efforts.
Collaborate closely with global cross-functional teams, including Design, Design Verification (DV) and Software teams.
Plan for and implement sub-sections of the design to be ported on low-cost, stand-alone platforms for customer delivery (early evaluation) and reference designs.
Improve flows and methodologies to streamline IP development and integration for FPGA development.
Support customers on early evaluation of ADI designs.
Requirements:
In depth understanding of digital logic design principles:
Control intensive, data-path intensive and multi domain clocking concepts
Knowledge of industry standard bus protocols such as AHB, AXI, I2C, SPI etc.
Strong hands-on RTL coding experience and debugging skills,
both active as well as in a leading role for other team members.
Proficient with state-of-the-art FPGA implementation flow including synthesis, P&R and timing analysis on tools such as Synplify®, Vivado®, Quartus®
Expertise in the development and implementation of design constraints by interacting with designers and performing RTL analysis.
Expertise in critical path timing closureand RTLsimulation.
Detailed knowledge of ARM and/or RISC-V processor subsystem architectures, on-chip interconnects and advanced debug and trace
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with teams spread geographically (Europe, US, Canada)
Experience in mentoring junior engineers is desirable
Minimum Qualifications
BS/BE in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 10+ years of experience
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field with +4 years industry experience
Additional Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Good working knowledge on some programming language (C, C++, C# or similar) is desirable.
Strong presentation and technical documentation skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with aggressive schedules.
Self-motivated, thorough, autonomous, and driven to continually improve.
