We are currently seeking a dynamic Principal DevOps Engineer to contribute to the success of our rapidly growing business.
You would act as a Principal DevOps Engineer to help improve and expand our product capabilities. As a member of the team, you’ll be responsible for designing and implementing the core services and defining the architecture of the system. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and successfully contribute to the team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, passion for technology, extensive development experience, and will be able to learn quickly.
As a Principal DevOps Engineer, you will:
Designing and developing the DevOps infrastructure for business-critical systems
Maintaining and improving container-based Kubernetes environments
Develop and integrate observability solutions across the stack (infrastructure, application, network, and user experience) to monitor and provide actionable insights.
Work with developers and engineers to ensure that all relevant services, applications, and infrastructure components are instrumented using the latest observability best practices (e.g., logging, tracing, and metrics collection).
Set up automated alerting systems for real-time detection of performance bottlenecks, failures, or anomalies, and integrate with incident management workflows.
Build pipelines for data collection, storage, and visualization to help the teams gain insights from monitoring data
Use observability data to improve system reliability, availability, and performance by driving root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Implement automated solutions for monitoring and alerting that scale with platform growth and reduce manual intervention.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation on monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes. Provide training and support to engineering teams to use observability tools effectively.
Take the lead in solving and preventing operational issues
We Are Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent education with 8-12 years of hands-on experience.
Strong knowledge of observability tools such as ‘Prometheus’, 'Grafana', 'Datadog', 'New Relic', 'ELK Stack', 'Splunk', or similar.
Passion for modern technologies and practical experience: K8s, containers, microservices are your friends
Experience with different virtualization environments such as VMware, AWS, GCP, OpenStack.
Strong systems experience on Unix/Linux, bare-metal and virtual machines.
Strong in python, groovy and shell scripting.
Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills with a focus on system reliability and high availability.
Experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for building, testing and deploying complex applications
Experience with building real-world scalable, reliable and secure infrastructures
Ability to multi-task and quickly respond to system/service issues
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent understanding and knowledge of DevOPs Concepts and Methodologies
Proactive in work and self-motivated with the ability to accomplish tasks with minimal direction and follow-up
Likes to come up with new ideas and implement them end-to-end to improvise and optimise day-to-day activities
Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
