We are looking for a talented and experienced Principal Container Platform Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of a robust hybrid container platform at Saxo. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect scalable and secure container solutions that drive operational efficiency and support our modern application hosting transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and architecture of a hybrid container platform that seamlessly integrates with our existing infrastructure.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient container solutions.
Implement and maintainKubernetes platform to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
Develop automation scripts and tools for streamlined container deployment, monitoring, and management.
Implement security best practices for Kubernetes environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits of the container platform to identify and address vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, EA, and application development teams to ensure seamless integration of container solutions into the development lifecycle.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the team.
Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address performance issues.
Continuously optimize the container platform for resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Your profile
You are a team player, positive in nature and passionate about enabling the effective use of data across the organization. You have an open mind and like to learn and grow yourself as well as helping others do the same
Demonstrable experience developing andmaintaining Kubernetes clusters with production workloads.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a senior DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on containerization technologies,
In-depth knowledge of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and container runtime environments (having CKA is beneficial but not essential).
Strong expertise in scripting and automation using tools like Terraform, ARM, or similar.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.
Solid understanding of security best practices in containerized environments (having CKS is beneficial but not essential).
Excellent English communication and collaboration skills.
