OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

• The Pricing Data and Reporting Specialist will be responsible in supporting Takeda’s GPP (Global Pricing & Policy) team with developing, maintaining, and optimizing pricing dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision-making
• This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in Power BI (or other BI tools), and a deep understanding of data visualization techniques. Pricing experience is a plus
• The aim being to be able to (1) understand business needs, (2) assess required data from EDB and other sources, (3) transform this data into standardized reports / insights for the business teams. Such tasks occur periodically, with high frequencies depending on the processes and data requirements

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Understand data and insights needs of key stakeholders including GPP, Regional / local teams
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and other BI tools to analyze and visualize pricing data to identify trends and generate insights across various products and markets.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all pricing dashboards and reports, implementing automation where possible to streamline reporting processes.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights through clear and concise visualizations that support strategic decision-making.
• Work to ensure proper data integration, storage, and retrieval processes to support robust pricing analytics
• Manage data sources and ensure that all data used in pricing analysis is up-to-date, accurate, and relevant.
• Implement and maintain data governance practices to ensure data quality and compliance with organizational standards.
• Continuously explore and evaluate other effective tools for pricing analytics, staying updated on industry trends and advancements in Business Intelligence technology.
• Investigate and apply use cases of advanced analytics, including Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), into the pricing analytics, driving innovation and improved decision-making.
• Train and support key stakeholders on how to effectively use pricing dashboards and reports to access and interpret data.
• Develop a working knowledge of underlying pricing systems and tools and act as back up of general maintenance of pricing support dashboards and tools.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in pricing analytics, business intelligence, or a related role.
• Proven experience with Power BI, including dashboard development and data modeling
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization techniques.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and data security best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
