ORPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.Job Description:Job Overview The QCT Customer engineering team supports customers with all aspects of embedded software and systems development. This includes assisting OEMs in designs, providing technical training, issue debugging, optimizing Power, Thermal and integrating software. It exposes the candidate to the key players in the wireless industry worldwide and places him or her right in the heart of the dynamism of wireless deployment. This position is responsible for supporting snapdragon compute devices(Windows) for our MSM chipsets customers on Power, Performance and Thermal analysis and triage of system level obstacles to optimize power. The role requires interfacing with the engineers at customers, Training, assisting customers in software design, integration, development, system debugging, handling customer Q&A and interfacing closely with internal developers are the key activities required in this position. Also participate in various system software projects including OS kernel, firmware, Power, Performance & Thermal investigation and factory manufacturing solutions. Preferred Qualifications · Systems/HW background with a good understanding of microprocessor architecture and common SoC hardware blocks (Interconnects, Display, Graphics, etc.) · Operating systems concepts - scheduling, memory management and device drivers · Using debug tools like JTAG debugger, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers. · Mobile power or thermal management SW development. · System level debugging and analysis for SoC power optimizations.Applicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
