Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced PLM Presales Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of PLM concepts, methodologies, and technologies, coupled with a strong commercial acumen and consulting mindset. He/She should be able to articulate the value proposition of our PLM solutions to potential clients, translating technical capabilities into tangible business benefits. This role demands strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, as well as a proven track record of success in a presales environment, including experience with solution selling and value engineering. Candidates with a mix of hands-on PLM experience and Pre-sales experience would be preferred. Desired candidate profile as follows:
- Technical acumen: Understand customer business challenges and requirements related to product lifecycle management, conducting detailed technical needs assessments, and translating them into effective solutions. Demonstrate a strong understanding of PLM architectures, data models, integrations, and customization options.
- Commercial drive: Develop and deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and proposals that showcase the value of our PLM solutions, emphasizing ROI and TCO. Respond to RFPs/RFIs, crafting winning proposals that address both technical and commercial aspects. Collaborate with sales on pricing strategies and contract negotiations.
- Consulting approach: Act as a trusted advisor to potential clients, providing strategic guidance on PLM implementation best practices and roadmap development. Conduct workshops and discovery sessions to understand client processes and identify areas for improvement. Develop value-based selling propositions that align with client business objectives.
- Collaboration & communication: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams, providing market feedback and contributing to product strategy. Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at potential clients, fostering long-term partnerships.
- Market awareness: Stay up-to-date on the latest PLM technologies, market trends, and competitive landscape. Participate in industry events and conferences, representing Bosch and promoting our PLM solutions.
- Sales enablement: Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team throughout the sales cycle, including training and competitive analysis.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field). Added degree in business (MBA/PGDBA) an advantage.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in a presales or technical consulting within the PLM domain.
- Deep understanding of PLM concepts, methodologies (e.g., Lean, Agile, Model-Based Systems Engineering), and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with leading PLM software solutions (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault ENOVIA, PTC Windchill, CONTACT software is essential.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to demonstrate software solutions effectively, including configuring and customizing PLM applications.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver compelling value propositions, ROI justifications, and TCO analyses.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a consulting mindset.
- Experience in responding to RFPs/RFIs and creating winning proposals, including commercial terms and conditions.
- Experience in one or more of the following industries is preferred: Automotive, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Consumer Products.
