Aladdin merges sophisticated risk analytics with extensive portfolio management, trading, and operations tools on a unified platform, facilitating informed decision-making and connecting a global community of investors.
The Developer Platform team, a crucial part of Platform Engineering, focuses on advancing our Platform strategy, including our core Aladdin libraries, Aladdin configuration services, DevOps tools & services, application runtimes, and transitioning services to a containerized Kubernetes environment.
Role and impact
We are looking for an engineering team lead who loves to innovate and solve sophisticated problems. Role requires a strong expertise in C++ and DevOps is a plus. This role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of components and technologies within the Platform Services area. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, eager to deeply understand technology, and open to learning new skills.
Our work may involve a variety of tasks, such as updating and developing core libraries in C++, managing CI/CD pipelines in Azure is plus, integrating components in Kubernetes as required, migrating to Docker, improving core libraries with new features, design, enhancement performance tuning, integrating with modern tools and offering outstanding production support to our internal customers.
Responsibilities
Engineering team lead with experience as an individual contributor as well as in leading teams.
Clear vision and excel at working seamlessly with partners and stakeholders across various regions.
Work in partnership with our product managers, users/client base and engineering teams to implement a product and technical roadmap.
Solid understanding in managing the complete modern C++ SDLC and solid understanding of core C++ libraries from design to implementation.
Provide strategic leadership to build a high-performance engineering team. You will grow technology leaders and connect the team to Aladdin Engineering’s mission and outcomes. You will nurture engineering culture and ultimately drive execution.
Lead the engineering team across multiple high-visibility firm initiatives.
Requirement:
10 - 15 years of experience and a solid grasp of modern C++, particularly C++17 and CMake, C++
Build Systems and tooling with proficiency in C++ performance tuning
Hands on development experience on Linux Expertise in working with distributed systems.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps is helpful.
Hands-on experience with Python is plus. Containerization of C++ applications is plus. Strong background in developing high-performance software on Linux, including experience with platform libraries/services such as database abstraction, messaging systems, and compute grids.
Good understanding of design patterns
Excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track record to collaborate effectively in both local and global teams are essential.
Experience with Agile methodology is also required.
