Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
Platform Engineering is the practice of designing, building and operating platforms for application engineering teams to leverage. The main goal of the central platform engineering team is to unlock the potential of the application teams, so they spend more time focusing on business functionality, increasing velocity, and reducing time to market. Moreover, the enterprise can better scale across its applications with similar platforms and shared microservices, making it easier to staff engineer assignments, as well as access enterprise information.
Because of its holistic charter, the Platform Engineering team requires both infrastructure and development skillsets, people who can architect and design services, and people who can build and run them. Because services are provided for their full lifecycle – and must continuously improve to meet new requirements and priorities the team must manage its services like a product portfolio, support the DevOps transformation of the company, drive the application engineering community and to share and incorporate new concepts and technologies.
This Role will be a Platform Engineer with focus on the Intelligent Document Processing and Archive (IDPA – ABBYY FlexiCapture, ABBYY Vantage, UiPath Document Understanding and ImageMaster T-Systems). As a part of the team, the platform engineer will be working in different projects around business processes and supporting in the operations of the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical assessments for automation opportunities
Collaborate directly with stakeholders to capture business requirements and translate them into technical approaches and designs that can be implemented
Provide guidance in process re-design
Design, develop, test and ensure quality of automation workflows
Ensure best practices and design principles are implemented
Create process and end-user documentation like SDD, TDD etc.
Ensure that business operations remain smooth and undisrupted
Support deployments or troubleshoot production issues outside of work hours and participate in an on-call rotation as-needed
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and business processes
Work closely with Intelligent Automation teams to develop integrations

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
More than 8 years of IT experience
More than 5 years in Document Processing (ABBYY FlexiCapture/Vantage), SAP Content services and Attachment services
Good knowledge about Account Payable / Source to pay processes is a plus
Relevant ABBYY certification(s) is a plus

Technical profile:
Hands on experience in Document Understanding tools such as ABBYY FlexiCapture, UiPath Document Understanding and Archive tools such as ImageMaster and SAP Content Services & ILM (information lifecycle mgmt.)
Proficient in programming languages like – C#/Python/PowerShell
Proficient in best practices, tool governance and development frameworks
Knowledge in Robotic Process Automation tools such as UiPath or Microsoft Power Automate, is a plus
Proficient in using Git-based version control tools like Bitbucket
Have worked in Agile teams
Aware about basic usage of Atlassian tools e.g. Jira / Confluence
Working knowledge on usage of APIs (REST/SOAP) for integrations
Hands-on experience in building automations around SAP (S4 HANA good to have)
Hands-on in building interactive dashboards using MS Power BI
