Job Summary
In TIS, the Parts Information Graphics Specialist is responsible for the creation, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of 3D models utilized for navigation and within dealer-facing applications utilized by service personnel in the field for parts ordering, troubleshooting, service repair, etc.
What You Will Do:
Create and optimize lightweight high-quality 3D models in a timely and efficient manner meeting production targets.
Access CAD files and build into complete product model files to cover systems including hydraulic, electrical, air conditioning, powertrain, and engine.
Identify and reuse "like or similar" components ensuring maximum productivity of graphics creation processes utilizing geometry that has already been optimized.
Evaluate new graphics technologies and/or help define requirements for the development of new tools and processes that support the creation of 3D graphics for dealer-facing applications.
What You Have:
Technical Excellence : Demonstrated knowledge of Caterpillar product structure, engineering databases (Teamcenter, PRWB), modeling & rendering tools (Autodesk 3DS Max and various CAD software).
Effective Communication : Delivers helpful feedback that focuses on behaviors without offending the recipient. Listens to feedback without defensiveness and uses it for own performance effectiveness. Independently makes oral presentations and written reports needed for own work. Leads meetings and teams effectively.
Collaboration & Engagement : Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with peers and other relevant stakeholders.
Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
