Partner - General Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions/Private Equity/Venture Capital - Law Firm - LLB

Our client, a leading law firm, is looking for an accomplished and entrepreneurial General Corporate Partner to join their team in Mumbai or Delhi. The ideal candidate should come with a strong practice, a well-established book of business (approximately 1.5x of current compensation), and a vision for building and expanding the firm’s corporate practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the General Corporate practice in Mumbai/Delhi, focusing on high-value and complex corporate matters.
• Advise clients on a wide range of corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity, joint ventures, restructuring, and general advisory.
• Represent leading corporates, private equity funds, and institutional clients in both domestic and cross-border transactions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, leveraging your market reputation and expertise.
• Collaborate with other practice groups to provide comprehensive and seamless legal solutions.
• Actively contribute to the firm’s business development initiatives and strategic growth.
• Mentor and guide a team of associates, fostering professional development and maintaining service excellence.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in general corporate transactions, with a proven track record of managing complex and high-value deals.
• A strong client base with a portable book of business valued at approximately INR 1 Cr or more, coming with a team is appreciated.
• Exceptional client relationship management and business development skills.
• Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and grow a team.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the strategic vision to expand the practice.
