Job Summary
Leads and develops the design and creation of packaging material for a manufacturing organization.
What You Will Do
• Develop and assess the processes and quality control system for package design practices; supervising the team's performance and compliance to the processes.
• Validating team-level developed standards and procedures to get design packages for both internal and external audiences through packing design team or on-site packaging engineers.
• Managing the design and creation of packaging operations for an organization; training design methods and implementation within the organization.
• Providing guidance and support and encouraging the package design team to generate creative ideas; organizing and coordinating the team's brainstorming process.

Package Graphic Visualization: Knowledge of visualization tools and techniques ; ability to create images to communicate abstract messages on packages to a target audience.

• Advises others on how to use graphic visualization to express complicated ideas.
• Oversees all image generation activities within a department.
• Analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of introducing new technologies into package graphic visualization.
• Evaluates best practices of package graphic visualization to improve design concepts and techniques within the organization.
• Monitors compliance to design policies that are set by the organization.
• Recommends appropriate design concepts based on client needs.
Packaging: Knowledge of packaging tools, approaches and practices; ability to package products and components safely and attractively.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Assists in packaging machine installation, maintenance and repair work under the direction of senior staff.
• Operates a packaging machine to fulfill a series of packaging tasks according to a company or client's specifications.
• Adheres to the packaging development process and assists in executing key packaging phases.
• Conducts basic packaging testing such as finished package testing, simulated distribution testing, leak testing.
• Produces package specifications for a new product or package.
Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Documents common hardware, software and communications problems and likely resolutions.
• Troubleshoots typical technical problems in a specific area.
• Works with vendor-specific diagnostic guides, tools and utilities to discover application problems.
• Adheres to standard troubleshooting procedures to ensure effectiveness of resolutions.
• Participates in setting evaluation standards and criterion for troubleshooting.
