About the Role As the Assistant Manager – Procurement and Operations, you will be a key player in our Procurement team, focusing on the acquisition of goods and services across admin, MEP, marketing, and other general categories. Your role will include driving cost optimization initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of procurement services, and maintaining compliance with procurement policies and best practices. You will leverage your negotiation skills and experience in contract management to establish beneficial agreements with vendors. This position demands a proactive individual who is adept at process improvement, ensuring quality and synergy across business units, and contributing directly to our organizational success.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the procurement of Admin, MEP, marketing, and other general categories.
Drive cost optimization initiatives directly contributing to the company's P&L.
Ensure timely deliveries of goods and services to meet organizational needs.
Comply with Procurement Policies, Processes, and Best Practices in operations.
Maintain accurate information for procurement operations and timely reporting.
Ensure timely procurement of assigned categories and meet requirements from user functions.
Apply effective procurement strategies, negotiation skills, and deliver on the organization's cost savings objectives.
Finalize commercial terms, conditions, and robust contracts/agreements.
Ensure satisfaction of internal and external customers through timely processing of requirements as per agreed TATs.
Comply with the policies, processes, best practices, and other compliance norms to avoid qualified remarks from auditing agencies.
Conduct timely reviews and reporting in line with business and other reporting requirements.
Seek process simplification and quality improvement to enhance synergy across different business units.
Requirements
Must have 6+ years of experience in procurement, negotiations, and handling procurement operations, with the last 4 years focused on admin, MEP, marketing, retail, and other general purchases.
Experience in contract/legal agreements negotiations and closures is essential.
Should have worked in large corporates or listed companies for at least 3 years.
Preferably an Undergraduate Engineer from a reputed university or a Commerce Graduate with an MBA from a reputed B-School.
Proficiency with digital tools such as SAP/Oracle, Power BI/Tableau, MS Office 365, Excel advanced skills, and good communication skills.
