Job Description

As the P2P Manager at NIQ, you will play a critical role within the Accounts Payable Service Delivery team, reporting directly to the Global Accounts Payable Service Delivery Lead (SDL) in Global Finance Operations. Your primary responsibilities will include oversees the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable, maintaining compliance with all company policies and procedures, and leading a team of accounts payable associates & Team Lead. Your expertise will contribute to the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the company. This leadership position requires a blend of technical accounts payable knowledge, managerial skills, and a strong commitment to operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure timely, accurate and high-quality services delivery of P2P throughout all regions in the NIQ landscape, including timely processing and posting of vendor invoices; vendor query management, resolutions and problem solving; payments out to vendors.
  • Ensure successful month end closes in the SAP Environment for P2P
  • Has demonstrated that they can manage P2P Shared Services center quality levels through service level agreements, performance metrics and continuous governance rhythm.
  • Identify and execute global internal control systems to ensure effective and efficient operations and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and corporate policies.
  • Drive full compliance with the NIQ Internal Controls framework, including SOX Compliance, as well as close liaison with our Corporate Audit Services (CAS) team.
  • Ensuing no Duplicate Payments are made to vendors.
  • Will work in close partnership with other corporate stakeholders as a key strategic leader in NIQ operations, including SVP Procurement and our Chief Accounting Office (CAO)
  • Work with Procurement, Business Finance and Global COE colleagues to maintain best-in-class processes and application of policies.
  • Work closely with the Shared Services Enablement team for customer support intake and the L1 Helpdesk.
  • Develop and implement procedures and operational ways of work in a standardized, efficient and effective manner for all markets in the region in the realm of the P2P and general financial accounting stream.
  • Maintain thorough and current understanding of best-in-class P2P processes.  Keep abreast of emerging P2P developments and standards.
  • Support the implementation of new Procurement pronouncements as required.
  • Understanding of how Indirect Tax (IVA, VAT, GST etc) as well as withholding tax, applies to vendor invoices is important.
  • Communicate and collaborate routinely with colleagues at regional levels, providing direction related to key processes and related changes, the sharing of best practices and keeping them abreast of initiatives that have a global impact.
  • Maintain an appropriate system configuration and IT environment to ensure effective and efficient execution of P2P and general financial accounting continuous finance processes, though the leverage of cutting-edge automation such as Ariba, CONCUR, and latest Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology.
  • Deliver, standardize, and drive efficiency in continuous finance processes architecture, protocols and mechanics and related governance.
  • Action-oriented and on a mission, they will also be able to build strong, long term strategic relationships with stakeholders, partners, and internal functions.
  • Ensure successful month-end closes in the SAP environment for P2P, including expense accrual, journal entries, and reconciliation of payables-related general ledger accounts in accordance with NIQ policies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • At least 10-12 years of experience in payment processing or accounts payable, with significant leadership experience in managing finance teams.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of payment processing systems and ERP platforms, such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, with excellent mentoring and people management skills.
  • Analytical Abilities: High analytical skills to oversee financial data, perform cost analyses, and implement strategic measures to improve payment operations.
  • Strong Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Compliance Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, financial policies, and compliance regulations affecting payment processes.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities to quickly resolve issues related to payment processing.
  • Deep, specialist expertise and knowledge of the relevant P2P Processes and how this interacts with the other P2P sub-processes and dependent processes – Procurement, Treasury, Close and Control.
  • Senior stakeholder management capabilities skills and experience of engaging business customers and third-party suppliers, supporting global projects
  • Has exemplary leadership skills, driving teams to top tier performance.
  • Provide leadership to ensure global P2P processes are aligned to maximize consolidation opportunities, achieve the right level of simplification, standardization and improvement, keep pace with changes in the business environment, and ensure key metric measurements benchmarked against industry methodologies.
  • Advise and support the business and functional leaders on matters relating to P2P
  • Analyze current processes to identify ways to improve efficiency and scale the P2P platform, and adopt new technology platforms (e.g., RPA) to streamline and automate work, and be an evangelist for Citizen Led Transformation
  • Lead all aspects of day-to-day P2P operations, driving cost-effectiveness, innovation and continuous improvement, and always pushing or efficiencies in the end-to-end process.
  • Set and enforce milestones and timeframes to achieve objectives and operational requirements.
  • Successfully manage SLAs with a focus on driving transformation, anticipating hurdles, and implementing plans to overcome them.
  • Establish effective, sustainable measurement and monitoring systems to ensure they drive performance management to enable effectives stakeholder relationships.
  • Build long-term, strategic, and sustainable partnerships with a full range of stakeholders; understand what drives business outcomes and requirements for P2P performance.
  • Represent the global P2P organization in relevant leadership business meetings, creating transparency and working with stakeholders to collaborate on key initiatives.
  • Ensure that P2P meets user requirements for capability and availability, delivering services that exceed stakeholder expectations while optimizing cost benefit by providing solutions that are fit for purpose.
  • Take accountability for the management and development of all P2P team members through coaching and mentoring.
  • Provide strategic leadership, and talent development and management activities for direct reports and their organizations to include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, and training.
  • Implement effective governance across all aspects of P2P operations and conduct regular stakeholder management sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with the provisions of all legislation and corporate governance requirements.
  • Take accountability for ensuring that team’s activities and reports are compliant and adhere to NIQ’s policies.
  • Understanding of Indirect Tax and withholding Tax.
  • Flexible to work in shifts.
