We are seeking Senior Associate Technical Publication Writers for the Enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (EPLM) Team to develop technical publications for complex aeronautics publications.

Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining/updating various Technical Publication manuals and the development of new and supplemental documents for current and future design projects.
Review Special instructions prior to publishing to ensure Simplified Technical English guidelines are followed
Maintain good records of technical publications production
Maintain control of manual revision status
Represent customer aftermarket needs within engineering organization
Influence upstream organizations to standardize and align their tasks to ensure clear instructions for internal and external customers
Gate keepers for accuracy of engineering changes that impact production and the field
Gate keepers for completeness of documentation allowing the technical publication to be published
Liaise with maintenance Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to verify maintenance requirements
Liaise with Project Engineers to support modification projects that require Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA's)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Able to read and comprehend engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, change orders, assembly floor sheets and other approved sources
Proficient with interactive electronic technical authoring languages and specifications such as XML, SGML.
Must be able to read, comprehend and interpret Service Bulletins, Engine Manuals, Engineering Changes., AMM, CMM, and Airworthiness Directives.
Able to translate complex OEM documentation into usable text for maintenance and operational manuals
Familiar with S1000D, ATA 2200 and ATA100, and other aerospace publication specifications
Familiar with common Engineering/Technical Authoring tools and computer applications such as Contenta, Catia
Familiar with Adobe Professional, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Knowledge of AECMA Simplified Technical English
Experience in verification and validation of tech pubs desirable.
Ability to effectively work with multiple engineering, supportability, and logistics disciplines to develop tech pubs.
Must be a team player with the ability to work and communicate with proposal subject matter experts (mostly engineers).
High level of English language proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Good communication skills (i.e., when speaking with engineers, maintenance SME's or pilots, be able to interpret their requirements into usable text)
Must have good organizational skills, be able to prioritize work, accurately perform duties with constant activity in the area and pay close attention to detail.
Must be a self-starter requiring minimum supervision and perform with a degree of accuracy in the execution of job assignments.
Must be able to work under pressure, relate to others and maintain flexibility with schedules of the department
Flexible to be on call and work outside of regular working hours to address any customer request
Be autonomous on daily complex duties

Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent discipline with 2-5 years’ experience as a technical writer/editor in the aviation, aerospace, or defense field
Field Experience and experience in aerospace technical publications field will be an asset

Full-time
Required to work 10:00 AM to 19:00 PM IST TIME with an overlapping with EST shift
May be requested to work overtime and weekends for special program needs

Physical Requirements
Must be able to travel to Canada at the P&WC Headquarter for training on complex aeronautics publications for a duration of 8 weeks.
