Role Description
As a QA tester, He/she should would be a team player that can perform tasks in a static environment. This candidate would have a financial background and strong understanding of the SDLC and defect life cycle. The candidate would be able to perform analysis of requirements, document a test plan, write and execute manual and automated test cases, and analyze test results.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
5+ years IT background or related work experience
Strong experience in Oracle GL, sub-ledgers, and procurement (i.eGeneral Ledger (GL), Account Payables (AP), Expense (EXP),Account Receivables (AR), Cash Management (CM), Fixed Assets (FA), Tax (EB Tax), Purchasing (PO))
Oracle Cloud experience
Strong financial domain experience
SQL Skills – Writing complex SQL queries using joins and various built-in functions, able to understand stored procedures, triggers and views.
Basic knowledge in Unix
Quick learner (willing to learn new domain/platform/application/tools)
Knowledge of SDLC/Agile/Waterfall/QA Process
Manual and automation (Good to have any one tool) testing skills
Able to understand requirements and write detailed test plans and test cases
Flexible - able to adapt to change and schedules
Core/Must have skills
Proficient in RTC/QC/JIRA for test case and defect tracking is must.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal(able to articulate the scenarios and deliverables, communicate with all levels of management)
Ability to multi-task and to take the initiative when needed
Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting
Ability to foster and maintain strong relationships with all partners in the Software Development Lifecycle such as business and development
Team player
Good to have skills
Good functional understanding of key concepts in various oracle finance modules and conducting Pilot testing, integrated testing, design validations and setups of the Oracle ERP applications (R12 and Oracle Fusion Cloud) a plus
