Role accountabilities:
Collaboration:
- Works with the DII Database Manager to address Key Business Users feedback, satisfaction with Tower services.
- Collaborates with DII Domain teams to deliver efficient and well-run processes
Database Services
- Implements and maintains Oracle database and management tool configuration and standardizations across the database ecosystem.
- Designs and implements database standards adhering to industry best practices.
- Manages Oracle database performance by analyzing query performance, memory and IO utilization, database contention and blocking, and simulating production loads for change impact assessments.
- Manages capacity planning and technical documentation.
- Establishes proactive database monitoring and alerting to ensure service availability and performance meets business demands.
- Oversees database backup and recovery procedures and responsible for ensuring recoverability will meet service level agreements.
- Responsible for database and security audits
- Coordinate with release manager the schedule of release activities across environments, teams, and vendors, identifying and resolving conflicts to minimize risk of business disruption.
- Responsible for keeping databases updated with current patches, bugfixes and security updates.
- Manages incident and problem response and resolution, as well as service request queues to deliver high end-user satisfaction.
Key Profile Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience developing enterprise applications and extensions, at least 1 of which with Oracle Cloud database services.
- Demonstrated experience successfully planning and implementing Cloud application services in a global company with a multi-national, multi-vendor environment.
- Proven track record of achieving service excellence, including maintaining positive stakeholder relationships and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams with internal and external resources.
