As a Change Management Project Manager - Vice President within the APAC Digital & Platform Services Change team, you will lead end-to-end delivery of strategic projects across APAC Branch, Japan, and China Market Operations. You will partner with teams across operations, technology, and corporate functions to drive change and transformation. This role offers you the chance to execute business and operational strategies, improve processes, and mitigate risks in the operations function.
Job responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of strategic, process improvement and regulatory projects
- Identify business model, operational process, systems, and resourcing impacts resulting from these initiatives; working in partnership with key stakeholders including business, technology, compliance, risk, and finance as required
- Drive continuous improvement and change management mindset, questioning conventional ways of managing the business and driving change to improve processes
- Translate business requirements into value-added, comprehensive solutions and test plans using appropriate processes, procedures, and technology
- Maintain a robust and auditable governance process to ensure accurate and timely delivery of overall project, through use of project framework, methodologies, reporting and appropriate escalation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, provide leadership, direction and focus for business functions and project resources
- Partner with multiple internal teams, external clients, and third party service providers
- Manage tight delivery timelines, and ensure our organization is on track to execute and deliver strategic change that meets our goals
- Think strategically combined with strong analytical skills
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- At least Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related disciplines
- At least 10 years of work experience in Bank Operations related role
- Proven project management and organizational skills, able to take the lead in unstructured situations, including seizing new opportunities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to partner with all types of stakeholders, at all levels across the business areas including senior executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Independent, proactive worker with the ability to quickly understand complex subject matter and demonstrate critical thinking.
- Experience in data transformation tools, such as Alteryx and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView/Qliksense)
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex operational issues.
- Problem solving skills – the candidate must demonstrate exceptional judgment and the ability to independently identify and escalate key issues, obtain appropriate information form further analysis, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Teamwork skills – the candidate must be flexible in their work style and be able to work appropriately with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Prior roles and/or experience in Markets Operations as well as knowledge of Market Operations experience is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of different technological development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and design techniques with ability to successfully lead regardless of approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Alteryx, UI Path is preferred
