The Role
As a Structural Engineer with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
·Design of pipe-rack, stack, equipment supporting structures, reactor/Technological structures supporting process facilities.
·Dynamic analysis of structures, Seismic analysis (SLE/DLE) of structures.
·Finite element analysis / Advanced analysis for the critical onshore structures, UG facilities - planning and Design.
·Equipment Foundation design (Static and Dynamic loading condition).
·Secondary structural design - special pipe supports , equipment access platforms and Cable tray supports.
·Life extension analysis and structural integrity assessment of existing structures, corrosion analysis, remaining strength assessment and retrofitting details.
·Detailed health survey and as building of the existing asset, Detail drawings, 3D modelling and fabrication engineering.
·Constructability studies and HAZID studies.
·Cooling tower, water tank, coal belt conveyor structures, PEB, sheds and supporting foundations detail engineering.
·Modularization of the onshore structures to minimize the site activities.
·Pushover ultimate strength analysis for seismic / wind loads.
·Fatigue life assessment.
·Working independently without supervision. Meeting with customer and delivery head. Coordinating with other disciplines lead whenever required.
·Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Project.
·Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Project. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
·Applicants require experience in working in a structural engineering team within a large multi discipline project team.
·The role mandates previous experience in minimum facility platform design and including both substructure, topsides and bridges.
·A comprehensive understanding of structural analysis in the areas of dynamic loading and resistance, collapse analysis, spectral fatigue analysis, fire and explosion design, reliability-based analysis, dropped object etc. is essential.
