Who we are


It is an exciting time to join State Street Corporation (SSC) in the Enterprise Technology Risk Management (ETRM) organization. ETRM in its capacity as Second Line of Defense (SLOD) is responsible for leadership, oversight, monitoring, and advisement around the technologies, architecture, operational processes, security, and resiliency.


Who we are looking for


We are looking for candidates who can develop and deliver dashboards, actionable insights and reports in support of rapid decision-making.  This role is in direct support of a senior ETRM Manager and as such will be responsible for recommending visualization features and designs most appropriate to data and analysis needs of the business.


What you will be responsible for


As an Officer, Analytics, Reporting and Communication – ETRM, you will be responsible to work with a diverse set of data sources such as Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Application Inventory, Technology Controls, Issue and Incident Management, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Test Results to:


  • Identify relevant data sources and sets to mine for business needs
  • Enhance data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems. Automate the data collection process to the extent possible
  • Analyze raw information to identify patterns, relationships and trends to extract valuable business insights
  • Create visual representations of data findings through charts, graphs, and dashboards to make the data understandable
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate the insights and findings from the data to stakeholders using data visualization techniques, which can influence policy and decision-making processes
  • Monitoring, analyzing and periodic summary status report of all assurance activities (incl. BU risk profiles, regions/legal entities risk opinions)
  • Publishing results of SLOD risk assessments and SLOD controls assurance
  • Risk monitoring and escalation of breaches against risk appetite
  • Contribute to the continued development of risk excellence culture within State Street

Primary Skills (Must Have)


  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R
  • Experience working with data visualization tools such Tableau, Power BI
  • Proficient in Microsoft Access, Advanced Excel, and working knowledge in SharePoint
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and intergroup skills

Education & Preferred Qualifications


  • Graduate in Computer Engineering (preferably BE / B TECH / BCA / MCA)
  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in information technology with at least 5 years in business intelligence with a strong focus on data visualization
  • Extensive experience with business requirement analysis and translate business requirements/ needs to successful data presentation
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques is a plus
  • Experience working with unstructured data sources (e.g. Hadoop) is desirable
  • Familiarity in Information Security Frameworks such as ISO 27000 family and NIST is desirable
