Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Murex Sr Reporting Specialist to join our team, with a focus on Datamart Reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project deliverables related to Murex DataMart reports, and will handle end-to-end project responsibilities while ensuring timely and accurate completion according to agreed specifications.
Overall Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage project deliverables within the Murex DataMart domain.
- Conduct business requirements analysis to gather and document specifications.
- Write specifications for reporting requirements and deliverables.
- Configure, test, and validate reporting systems and workflows.
- Assist users by providing guidance and support after implementation.
- Automate reports and optimize their performance.
- Engage in greenfield implementations and work closely with stakeholders for efficient delivery.
- Manage EOD processes and understand related housekeeping activities for the Datamart module.
Software Requirements
- Database Technologies: SQL, Oracle, Sybase
- Scripting Languages: Java scripting, shell scripting
- Reporting Tools: Murex DataMart module
- Scheduling Tools: Control-M, AutoSys
Category-wise Technical Skills
Experience
- Minimum of 8-9 years of experience in Murex reporting and DataMart.
- Proven experience in managing end-to-end project delivery in financial services.
- Familiarity with greenfield implementations and report optimization strategies.
Day-to-day Activities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable specifications.
- Write, test, and validate reports, ensuring they meet business needs.
- Automate reporting processes using scripting languages for efficiency.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of existing reports.
- Conduct regular user support and address any issues or questions regarding reporting systems.
- Engage in housekeeping duties related to the Datamart module to ensure system integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Murex or project management (e.g., PMP) are a plus.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
