Job Summary:The Murex Front Office Consultant will be responsible for providing expert-level support and consultancy services for the Murex trading platform. The role involves working closely with traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation and optimization of the Murex system in the front office environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Murex System Expertise:


  • Provide expert-level support for the Murex front office module.
  • Configure and customize the Murex platform to meet the specific needs of the front office users.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of Murex with other systems and applications.

Business Analysis:


  • Work with traders and front office users to understand their requirements and translate these into technical specifications.
  • Conduct gap analysis and recommend solutions to enhance the functionality of the Murex platform.

Project Management:


  • Lead and participate in Murex-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project plans.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project implementation.

Support and Troubleshooting:


  • Provide day-to-day support to front office users, resolving any issues related to the Murex platform.
  • Perform root cause analysis for any system issues and implement corrective actions.

Training and Documentation:


  • Conduct training sessions for front office users to ensure they are proficient in using the Murex platform.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience working with the Murex trading platform, specifically in the front office module.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, trading, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Unix shell scripting).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
