Job Overview:
We are seeking a Murex Accounting Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team for the upgrade of Murex from version 38 to version 58. The ideal candidate will have specialized knowledge in the Murex liquidation module and will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition during the upgrade process.
Software Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of Murex Accounting, with an emphasis on the liquidation module.
- Experience with Murex versions 38 and 58, including the ability to analyze and explain the differences.
- Familiarity with Murex upgrade procedures and best practices.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Lead the Murex Accounting upgrade project from v38 to v58.
- Provide expert knowledge and guidance on the Murex liquidation module.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure seamless transition and minimal disruption during the upgrade.
- Analyze and document the differences between Murex v38 and v58 in the context of accounting and liquidation.
- Support testing and validation of the accounting functions post-upgrade.
Technical Skills:
- Murex Expertise:Strong understanding of Murex Accounting, particularly related to the liquidation module.
- Upgrade Knowledge:Experience with Murex upgrade projects, specifically from v38 to v58.
- Analytical Skills:Ability to analyze system differences and impacts due to the upgrade.
- Testing Coordination:Experience working with testing teams to ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting data post-upgrade.
Experience:
- 5 to 8 years of experience working with Murex, specifically in accounting roles.
- Proven experience in leading or participating in Murex upgrade projects.
- Hands-on experience with the Murex liquidation module.
- Strong background in financial systems and accounting within the context of capital markets.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Lead the analysis of Murex v38 and v58 accounting functions, focusing on the liquidation module.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the upgrade are covered.
- Provide detailed documentation of changes and their impacts on accounting processes.
- Coordinate and support testing efforts to validate accounting data post-upgrade.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the transition and provide timely solutions.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and updates to stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications:
- Education:Any Graduate, preferably with a background in finance, accounting, or related fields.
- Certifications:Relevant Murex certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
