Role Overview:
A Middleware Administrator is responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining middleware systems that facilitate seamless communication between software applications. This role ensures optimal system performance, security, and reliability.
Software Requirements:
- Proficiency in middleware technologies (e.g., IBM WebSphere, Oracle Fusion).
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Understanding of networking concepts and cloud technologies.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain middleware platforms such as WebSphere, Apache, and Tomcat.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Perform regular upgrades and implement optimization strategies.
- Document middleware configurations and processes.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement cross-functional projects.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and maintain disaster recovery plans.
- Provide technical support and training to users and staff.
