Purpose We are seeking a skilled and experienced Microsoft 365
Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible
for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft 365
environments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across the
organization. This role involves working with various Microsoft 365 services,
including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and related
technologies. Work Overview
Support large enterprise Exchange Server 2016 Hybrid design and Office 365 Mail Hosting projects.
Manage Exchange Online security and compliance design using policies for Email, DLP, Archiving, and Access.
Administer multiple Office 365 Tenants and manage Azure AD, Azure Security, and Data Access Policies.
Design and manage MS Teams and Skype for Business rollout, including engineering and security access.
Implement and manage ADFS and global security policies using claims rules.
Design and pilot O365 Intune MDM device controls and policies using Azure Conditional Access.
Plan and execute migrations to Microsoft 365 from on-premises or other cloud environments.
Deploy and configure new Microsoft 365 services and features.
Manage hybrid configurations and coexistence scenarios between on-premises and cloud environments.
Assist with the creation and maintenance of technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
Integrate Microsoft 365 services with third-party applications and on-premises systems.
Monitor and optimize the performance of Microsoft 365 services.
Utilize Microsoft 365 Admin Center and PowerShell to monitor service health and generate reports.
Analyze usage patterns and provide recommendations for improving adoption and productivity.
Monitor and respond to alerts and notifications from Microsoft 365 and related security tools.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Microsoft 365 applications and services.
Collaborate with Microsoft support to resolve complex issues.
Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
Implement security measures and compliance policies within the Microsoft 365 platform.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure security and compliance with organizational policies.
Create and manage Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) services and claims rules for SSO and SAML.
Manage permissions for Tenant, Security & Compliance, Exchange, and Exchange Online.
Design and manage Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) suite for protecting data on mobile devices.
Design, Implement and support Azure Rights Management Security for document data via DLP and retention policies.
Use Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools like NinjaRMM to oversee and troubleshoot devices and systems remotely.
Deploy and manage security alerting tools such as Microsoft Lighthouse and CyberDrain CIPP to enhance monitoring and proactive management of IT systems.
RequirementsQualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information
Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Microsoft 365 Engineer or in a similar
role.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and
configuration.
Experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams,
OneDrive, and other Microsoft 365 services.
Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
(preferred).
Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity
Fundamentals (optional but advantageous).
Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture and
services.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and
management.
Knowledge of security and compliance best practices within
Microsoft 365.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
