Job Description
Come join one of the most dynamic teams within ServiceNow, "The Factory". This team is a critical part of our solution consulting organization, helping develop pro-code assets for our customer demos. Some of the worlds top companies are often looking to see how ServiceNow can be positioned to solve their unique needs, The Factory team is called in to support the sales team and solution consulting team in the construction of those Proof of Concepts. The Factory team fills a magical gap between out of box product capabilities and unique, customer, customizations. We help make our demo's sing in a real-world, real solution, capacity.
The Factory Solution Developer Manager is a technical manager with the ability to qualify technical requirements for custom applications/portals/workspaces for level of complexity and effort. Ideal candidates for this role will have spent time as a ServiceNow application developer and have a good understanding of the platform capabilities. The Factory is a hybrid team that straddles the worlds of ServiceNow Platform Development and ServiceNow Pre-Sales Solution Consulting. This is a dynamic team that services a high-demand need within the company.

While not primarily a customer facing role, the Factory gets to work with some of our most exciting customer brands and provide unique solutions to enterprise scale problems in a rapid, proof of concept environment. You will be at the cutting edge of where our customers are taking ServiceNow.
What you get to do in this role:
  • Help build and manage a small team of Solution Developers in our Hyderabad Development Center
  • Work alongside our America's based Factory team for collaboration and handoff of custom demo development
  • Understand and triage solution requirements and develop key solution components on the ServiceNow Platform
  • Build compelling solutions against demo requirements captured by our account teams
  • Scope and deliver Proof of Concept/Proof of Value engagements with account teams
  • Provide mentoring and training to peers and colleagues
  • Stay current on product developments/releases to a level required for demo and POC/POV
  • Support Marketing events – user conferences, trade shows, webinars etc. Stay current on competitive analyses and understand differentiators between the company and its competitors
  • Understand business and technical problems addressed by the products including key regulations, business drivers, evolving business needs, and security In conjunction with Sales and Professional Services, conduct transition briefing - communicate commitments and expectations in preparation for deployment 

Qualifications
  • Nice to have: An extensive ServiceNow product knowledge (IT, Customer, Employee and Creator workflows) – (ability to understand the core concepts of each major product area)
  • Nice to have: an ability to derive development requirements from customer problem descriptions (either as a dev lead creating development requirements, or as a product owner translating customer requirements to development requirements)
  • 1 - 3 years of team lead or manager level experience
  • 2 - 5+ years of development experience – ideally in a field related to ServiceNow or 2 - 5 years in a product manager capacity supporting custom application development in a field related to ServiceNow
  • Demonstrated proficiency in JavaScript and/or Angular.js (enough to accurately assess levels of complexity/effort for requests leveraging these languages)
  • A strong foundational understanding of the ServiceNow Platform 
  • Certified ServiceNow Application Developer is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technology Ability to actively listen to account team solution requirements and provide a solution to address the customer’s business issue
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn Demonstrated proactive approach to perform without being told what to do
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Technology is a plus
