Adobe Cloud Platforms & Collaboration (ACPC) Group is building a highly scalable and available Content Platform for Adobe SaaS offerings, running on Amazon AWS. We're pushing the future of SaaS development by leveraging and building the latest technology and design thinking. Our talented team of developers are building highly available, low latency, cloud scale foundation components such as Cache, Storage, Database (SQL and NoSQL), Queuing, Pub-Sub etc. to create one standard to develop, deploy, operate and govern Adobe SaaS solutions on multiple clouds catering to millions of requests every day. - Mentor and guide high-performing engineering team
- Be an inspiring leader in building services for next generation multi-cloud service.
- Deliver high-performance web services that are adaptable to dynamic business needs, influence ideation & outstanding problem solving
- Partner with global product management and engineering and operations leaders to help shape technical product architecture & practices, roadmap and release plans
- Drive strategic and tactical decisions which ensures the successful delivery of projects.
- Lead the technical design, vision, and implementation strategy
- Create execution plan and lead the engineering team to complete the vision.
- Apply best-practices and coding patterns that ensure solutions are maintainable, modular, and of high code quality.
- Develop and evolve engineering processes and teamwork models, applying creative problem solving to optimize team efficiency
- Attract, hire, on-board and retain top talent. Empower and develop the team as a player-coach to be a high-performance team.
- Craft a positive winning culture built on collaboration and shared accomplishments
- Lead the discussions on emerging industry technologies & trends and work with the team & leadership use this knowledge to influence product direction.
What you need to succeed
- 9+ years of experience in software development with proven ability in management role
- Strong technical skills with experience in designing & developing enterprise applications
- Strong Java/JEE, design, coding and architectural skills along with problem solving and analytical abilities
- Expertise in Kafka, Azure Cosmos DB, Mongo DB, Analytical and reporting databases
- Experience in developing and leading teams building solution with cloud technologies (AWS and/or Azure)
- Strong working knowledge of software development methodologies and software design patterns and have experience leading significant software projects/products
- Proven experience running or leading sophisticated projects through full product delivery cycles
- Consistent track record developing, leading, coaching, and mentoring software engineers and engineering managers towards delivering timely, high-quality software as a team
- Ambitious and not afraid to address unknowns, demonstrates a strong bias to action
- Consistent record in recruiting and building robust teams
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent speaking, writing, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to persuade, encourage, and empower others
- BS or MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
