The opportunity
The Adobe Digital Imaging Services team is looking for an experienced, passionate, and results-oriented Engineering Manager to own and drive the technical vision and execution of the digital imaging services APIs in the Cloud. You will be responsible for leading and mentoring highly skilled engineers and building highly effective engineering teams within an Agile environment. As an engineering manager, you will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these cloud features to manage and analyze photos and enable magical photo experiences, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that makes the service highly available, scalable and reliable.
What you'll do
As an Engineering Manager, you will drive a team of passionate engineers. You and your team will be responsible for Design and develop features/services/APIs for Digital Imaging cloud platform.
Build Reliable, scalable and secure cloud services.
Specific responsibilities include driving the team on innovation and implementation, creating and reviewing architectural designs, mentoring the team, and honing its engineering skills
Leading a team of 8-10 engineers, including architecture, design, code reviews & people management.
Create technical specifications, prototypes, and presentations to communicate your ideas
Own progress of the product through the development life cycle, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring visibility to senior leadership
Partner with product management to define and refine our product roadmap, user experience, priorities, and schedule.
Strive to build an inclusive team supporting diverse opinions
Use a combination of data and instinct to make decisions and move at a rapid pace.
Craft a culture of collaboration and shared accomplishments
What you need to succeed
Strong hands-on experience on Cloud Services development
8-12 years of proven industry experience with 2+ years as an Engineering Manager
Prior experience in mentoring senior engineers
Strong technical skills with experience in designing & developing services
Self-motivated with a desire to mentor a team and the ability to drive the team to accomplish high-quality deliverables
Can set and meet deadlines, multitask, and prioritize. Able to handle a high volume of tasks and multiple projects.
Outstanding interpersonal skills: must display customer obsession, patience, humour, and a can-do / whatever-it-takes, resourceful and positive attitude
