Job Summary:
Pratt & Whitney India Engineering Center (IEC) is looking for a highly motivated and dependable Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Enterprise Product Lifecycle Management Team. EPLM is uniquely linked between the engine development /certification, configuration management, tooling, aftermarket and field support engine life cycles, responding and supporting MRO on their queries on overhaul and maintenance procedures. This results in our manuals having a direct impact on the bottom line of Pratt & Whitney’s maintenance repair and overhaul revenue and success. The intern will be responsible for completing all the tasks assigned by the supervisor and assisting other engineers with project activities as necessary. The intern will have opportunity to closely interact with SMEs/DAE from EPLM/Customer Engineering, MRO engineers and others, to support development of technical data to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Every intern is on a guided internal learning program and/or structured experiences to gain the skills and knowledge required to make contribution to the department.
They also work on project/assignment that require basic professional knowledge to synthesize and interpret information under close supervision a mentor.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or Production)
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong analytical, mathematical and engineering skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Time management and professionalism
A growth mindset and willingness to accept criticism
Drive for results & an inclination for self-development through technical knowledge
