Advanced Mech Design Engr will be involved either in developing high fidelity computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis method for aero-thermal design of gas turbine components e.g. inlet, fan, compressor, combustor, and turbine etc. or in applying CFD for designing such components. Primary responsibility of Engineer II will include but not limited to:
Analysis method
Identify development/ improvement area in selected sub-model used in current analysis method.
Conduct literature survey and propose improve improvement.
Implement improvements in sub-model and validate. Integrate to existing analysis method.
Design of gas turbine components
Evaluate performance of baseline design
Identify opportunities for improvement, suggest improved design
Evaluate new design till the design objective is achieved

JOB ACTIVITIES Successful candidate will be involved in the following activities: Build CAD model for fluid volume and/or fluid + solid volume in CAD. Generate high quality Aero and/or Aero-CHT Mesh for high fidelity CFD analysis. Perform CFD analysis (RANS and LES), predict component performance, operability, life and emission as applicable Post-process CFD results, prepare detailed analysis reports including recommendation on design and analysis methods as applicable YOU MUST HAVE
ME/MTech/MS in Aerospace/Mechanical engineering or relevant area with more than 2 years of experience in the relevant domain.
Knowledge of aero-thermo-chemical processes in gas turbine engines and its components.
In-depth knowledge in CFD, good understanding of mesh requirement for high fidelity CFD analysis.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Proficiency in programming in Fortran/C/C++.

Experience in design of gas turbine components
Knowledge in Turbomachinery
