MDM Architect

What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this senior role, you will define and drive the MDM strategy, architecture, and governance framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise data management practices. Work with executives, business units, and IT teams to align on master data strategies and trends.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Define and evolve the enterprise MDM vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals and digital transformation initiatives
• Serve as the principal advisor to business and IT leadership on MDM capabilities, opportunities, and implementation approaches
• Establish governance structures, policies, and processes for sustainable master data management
• Drive cultural change and promote data stewardship across the organization using Informatica CDGC
• Document and communicate MDM processes and standards to improve alignment and information flow within the team and organization.
• Research and evaluate new data technologies and trends and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.

Architecture, Design, and Develop

• Design, configure, and manage Informatica MDM solutions to consolidate and unify master data.
• Implement Matching, Survivorship, and Deduplication rules to ensure Golden Records.
• Integrate MDM with various systems (ETL, APIs, databases, Data Lakes).
• Create and optimize Trust & Survivorship rules to ensure data consistency.
• Create reference architectures for master data hubs, data quality processes, and integration layers
• Establish standards for data modeling, metadata management, and data quality within the MDM ecosystem
• Develop and expose data via APIs, Web Services, and SQL queries.
• Design, implement, and manage Informatica CDGC solutions for data governance and metadata management.

Program Leadership

• Lead MDM implementation programs from conceptualization to execution
• Develop implementation strategies that minimize business disruption while delivering value
• Establish program governance frameworks, achievement plans, and success metrics
• Coordinate multi-functional teams involving business collaborators, data stewards, data owners, Digital, and vendors
• Manage scope, risks, and dependencies across multiple workstreams
• Present program status and outcomes to executive leadership

Business Engagement

• Partner with business units to understand their data needs and translate them into MDM capabilities
• Conduct workshops to align collaborators on MDM strategy, priorities, and encouraged outcomes
• Develop ROI models and value propositions for MDM initiatives tailored to different business areas
• Collaborate with data stewards to define data ownership, workflows, and quality standards
• Foster agreement among diverse collaborators with differing priorities

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical direction to development teams implementing and maintaining MDM solutions
• Review and approve solution designs, data models, and technical approaches
• Resolve complex architectural challenges related to data integration, quality, and synchronization
• Establish patterns for master data consumption across the enterprise
• Design approaches for data quality monitoring, remediation, and continuous improvement
• Develop migration strategies from legacy to modern MDM platforms

You have:

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
• Previous experience in or with 10+ years’ experience in data management with at least 5 years focused on MDM strategy and architecture
