Job Description

Position Summary


The analytical ERP / Chart of Accounts (CoA) Master Data Analyst at NIQ will be responsible for managing and maintaining the master data related to the Chart of Accounts (CoA) within our ERP system. Your primary focus will be ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial master data, which is essential for smooth and efficient financial reporting processes. This position requires strong technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities


· CoA Management: Oversee the maintenance and governance of the Chart of Accounts within the ERP system. Ensure that all accounts are accurately defined and maintained according to the latest financial reporting requirements. Assist in the timely and accurate completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to any record to report processes that link with the SFS processes.


· Data Quality Control: Implement controls and checks to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the CoA data. Regularly review and cleanse data to prevent and correct inaccuracies. Helping the general R2R team with reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.


· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the management of CoA data. Lead initiatives to streamline and improve data handling and reporting processes within the ERP system. Assist in the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in record to report activities.


· Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including finance, IT, operations, legal, and tax teams, to ensure that the CoA structure aligns with internal financial strategies and compliance requirements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support various reporting and compliance initiatives.


· Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports and conduct analyses to support financial operations and audits. Provide insights and recommendations based on data trends and anomalies. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules and internal and external reporting packages.


· Training and Support: Offer guidance and training to other team members on the use of the CoA in the ERP system, ensuring consistent application across the organization.


· Audit and Compliance: Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and address any audit queries or requirements. Maintain documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations including SOX.


· Regulatory Updates and Strategic Relationships: Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, and ensure adherence to evolving requirements. Build strong, long-term strategic relationships with stakeholders, partners, and internal functions.


· Ad hoc Support and Strategic Initiatives: Provide support for ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management, being action-oriented and mission-driven to manage Statutory Accounting Fin Ops quality levels through service level agreements, performance metrics, KPIs, and continuous governance.


Qualifications and Skills


· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field. · At leas 2-3 years of experience as Master Data Analyst or in a similar role, a proven experience with ERP systems, particularly in managing and analyzing financial data within a Chart of Accounts.


· Technical Proficiency: Strong technical skills with ERP platforms, especially in financial modules. Proficiency in data analysis tools and advanced Excel skills.


· Analytical Abilities: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on detail and data accuracy.


· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of effectively interacting with and influencing various stakeholders.


· Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills, able to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
