Position Summary and Location
Support the design, development, and maintenance of master data models that ensure the accuracy and consistency of key business data across systems. Collaborate with senior team members to model data structures and optimize data flow, supporting various departments such as finance, sales, and operations. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for data modeling, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to grow in data management and governance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
·Assist in the design and development of master data models for master domains such as customer, assets, supplier, and financial data.
·Help create and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) that align with business needs and data governance policies.
·Ensure the accuracy and integrity of master data by supporting data modeling standards and best practices.
·Analyze data from various sources to support data modeling decisions and validate the accuracy and completeness of master data.
·Perform basic data profiling and quality checks to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential improvements in data structures.
·Collaborate with data quality and data governance teams to ensure consistency across systems.
·Assist in designing data flow diagrams and documenting data mappings between different systems.
·Work with data engineers and system architects to integrate master data models with existing databases and applications.
·Support the creation of data management workflows that optimize data retrieval, storage, and reporting processes.
·Help maintain documentation for master data models, including data definitions, relationships, and lineage.
·Prepare reports and presentations on data modeling findings and recommendations to stakeholders and team members.
·Contribute to the development of metadata repositories and data dictionaries to support enterprise data governance.

Qualifications
·Bachelor’s degree in data management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
·Relevant coursework or project experience in data modeling, databases, or data management is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
·Basic understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., entity-relationship models, dimensional modeling) and database structures.
·Familiarity with data modeling tools such as Erwin, IBM InfoSphere Data Architect, SAP PowerDesigner, or similar tools.
·Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and understanding relational data structures.
·Some exposure to data governance principles, master data management (MDM), and data integration processes.
·Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make recommendations.
·Good communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
·Internship or hands-on project experience in data modeling, data management, or database design.
·Experience working with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
·Familiarity with metadata management and data dictionary tools is a plus.
