The Master Data Management Developer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Informatica Master Data Management (MDM) platform, ensuring data quality, accuracy, security and consistency across the operating unit. This role requires a strong understanding of data management principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Collaborates with source systems owners and data stewards and other technical personnel on the Data Governance group to resolve any data related or technical issues pertaining to data ingestion process both batch and real time.
Develops Informatica solutions both on-prem and SaaS, ensuring they meet technical specifications, quality standards, and adhere to best practices. Provide hands-on technical expertise as needed.
Collaborate with Informatica and third-party partners to understand product roadmaps, influence product enhancements, and ensure Medtronic’s integration approach and architecture is future-proof and aligned with vendor and industry trends. Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate effective collaboration throughout the integration process.
Oversee the end-to-end implementation of complex Master Data Management (MDM) domain solutions, including the data rules, data quality and data transformation processes. Ensure solutions adhere to best practices and architectural documentation and standards.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architectural diagrams, design documents, and integration patterns. Contribute to the development of a knowledge repository for DG/ MDM best practices.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, integration trends, and industry developments. Explore and recommend innovative solutions to improve integration processes, efficiency, and overall system performance.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Good Experience in Informatica Master Data Management (MDM) 10.x, IDQ and Java for Master Data Management (MDM) user exits
Hands on experience with Java to write, update Java code to fix defects and deploy EARs to other environments.
Experience with REST API's and SOA architecture.
Data Modelling and technical designs including API and batch/incremental/real time integrations
Provide support for escalated production issues as well as any issues as part of SDLC across Master Data Management, Extract Transform Load (ETL), Business Intelligence (BI) and data applications.
Continuous improvement by identifying and proposing tuning opportunities to increase efficiency and quality.
Hands-on experience with Informatica Master Data Mangement (MDM), standard REST API/SIF/Message Queue based integration for Search-before-create, bi-directional sync.
Experience on Informatica MDM hub components: Landing tables, base objects, staging tables, lookup tables, relationships, mappings, cleanse function, trust and matching rules, hierarchy management, E360 (provisioning) etc.
Hands-on Experience in creating mappings, mapplets, sessions, workflows, worklets in Informatica Data Quality (IDQ).
Strong functional knowledge and experience mastering multiple domains.
Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL.
Experience with IICS and/or Informatica PowerCenter other ETL or BI technologies is preferred.
Superior technical knowledge in Data Quality, Standards, Governance, and Design.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred.
Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have practical knowledge of project management.
Requires a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
