Purpose of Role: We are seeking a Master Data Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team based in Bangalore.
In this role, you will undertake all aspects of product rationalization and life cycle management. You will manage, execute, and improve Master Data creation and maintenance processes within Master Data Management (MDM) at Weir.
Additionally, you will provide Material Masters and associated Master Data structures for Weir's ERP system, focusing on parts utilized or sold within Weir's national manufacturing and distribution network.
Key responsibilities:
Manage and execute master data creation and maintenance processes to ensure proper functioning structures that align with official SAP processes and meet WMI's needs.
Support MDM’s internal customers.
Assist the Master Data team by sharing knowledge and providing training to meet WMI's expanding needs regarding Master Data.
Contribute to the improvement of the Master Data Department’s processes, including conceiving and managing your own improvement projects.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 4 yrs experience in engineering MTO (made to order)
Proven experience in Master Data Management (MDM) or a similar role.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in creating and maintaining master data in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite, and SAP.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Compensation: INR 6Lakhs to 7Lakhs per Annum
