Job SummaryIt’s an exciting time to be part of IFF, we are looking for our next Marketing Manager to become part of our industry-leading Marketing team.This position is designed to deliver technical expertise and creative marketing with our Scent India team. You will be an integral part of the Asia Marketing & Consumer Insights team as well as the Indian sub-continent cross functional team.Your FocusAs the Marketing Manager, you will be part of a high performing team within the Scent Division. You must be a self-starter who possesses the ability to think creatively, analytically and be able to manage multiple projects and/or tasks in a fast-paced environment. Interact at all levels within the organization. In addition, candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills since this role will require the manager to interface with and influence decision making in the sales and marketing.The role is Mumbai, India based and will report to Senior Group Marketing Manager, Greater Asia.How You Will ContributeBuild in-depth market, brand (including e-commerce) and consumer understanding for the assigned product categories.Understand and work closely with global as well as local customers and distributors in Indian Sub-Continent.Research new sources of trend information and analyze new product launch information to understand consumer preferences and behaviors.Work with the sales, consumer insights and fragrance development partners to understand and develop strategies and compelling value propositions for IFF’s fragrance and technology offerings.Use market and consumer knowledge and insights to actively seeking new opportunities.Define and build inspirational and impactful client presentations and inspirational events using your understanding of market trends, brand launches and consumer data and translate into new business opportunities.Collaborate with regional marketing teams to share intelligence and insights on assigned categories and brand movements on a regular basis.Identify areas for continuous improvements and implement efficient and smart ways of working on marketing deliverables.Ensure shared learning across the business by initiating and maintaining constant communication of your marketing programs and essential messages to all your colleagues and stakeholders.Guide, mentor, and develop more junior members of your team.What you will need to be successfulMaster’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or any other relevant discipline.Minimum 8-10 years of experience including Fragrance Industry Marketing or FMCG Brand Management.Passionate about fragrances and an ability, or interest in learning to recognize olfactive notes, communicate in fragrance language.Competent at connecting various pieces of information into an integrated story line.Comfortable using Digital & Social media tools to support business needs.Professionalism to deliver the agreed output as per aligned timeline with stakeholders.Strong desire to learn from key successes and failure to seek continuous improvement.Very good team player with positive ‘Can Do’ attitude & collaborative mindset.Ability to manage challenging deadlines and heavy workload.Good communication (written & verbal) skills in English and proficient in local language.Working knowledge of other Asian languages would be a plus.We are a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, offering our customers a broader range of natural solutions and accelerating our growth strategy.
