This department works closely with both our internal and external customers to ensure FLSmidth cement equipment’s on time delivery and customer satisfaction.RoleManufacturing process engineer provides quality assurance guidance throughout the manufacturing and testing process and direction with regards to practices, procedures and techniques.Your Responsibilities Execute New Product & Current Product Feasibility study for machining capacity, Layout optimization and Continuous improvements, Tooling & Fixture design, Coordinating & supporting with various teams and suppliers to achieve scheduled project target, MBOM Creation & Change ManagementDevelop, Optimize and refine machining processes, including CNC programming, cutting tool selection, and job setupCollaborate with tooling suppliers and production teams to design and select appropriate tools, fixtures, jigs and lifting devices to support efficient machining operationsDevelop and maintain detailed process documentation including Process plan, PFMEA, Control plan, Standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flowchartsRecommend new equipment and technology to improve machining capabilities and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtimeWork closely with the quality team to ensure that machining processes meet customer specifications and quality standards, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions when necessaryIdentify and implement cost-saving opportunities through material usage optimization, scrap reduction, and cycle time improvementsAct as a point of contact for resolving production-related issues, troubleshooting machine setups, and optimizing machining conditions to prevent downtimeEnsure that all machining processes and equipment comply with FLS safety regulations and environmental standardsNew MHE/Machinery Procurement, Installation & CommissioningHandling Capex projects - End to End ownershipDesign and implement training programs that address both technical skills and safety proceduresProvide feedback and support to Production employees / Contingents to help them improve their skills and knowledge and their supervisorsKey Accountabilities• Provides input to the design of the sequence of production operations• Drafts procedures with low complexity for the fabrication of applicable tools and equipment, and adapting machinery in response to factory conditions• Provides input to product design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques• Provides input for product cost improvement activities across the organization• Provides input to supply chain development and project teams to ensure product quality and cost is met• Works with internal stake holders to optimize product design for manufacturability and reduce logistic cost• Ensures that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations• Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activitiesWhat You BringAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings with deep understanding of GD&T principlesStrong understanding of machining processes, including turning, milling, drilling, and grindingExperience in designing technical requirements, managing projects and implementation of Capital assets – Machining centres and Fixtures, SPMs, MHEs, Cranes etc.,Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam Experience in CAD softwareThorough knowledge in manufacturing concepts (Lean manufacturing, Tooling Controls etc.,)Hands on experience in ERPs.Experience with advanced manufacturing techniques such as automation, robotics, or additive manufacturing.Familiarity with Assembly processes and Paint processesCertification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) or Lean Manufacturing methodologiesGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Education QualificationBachelor’s degree in mechanical / production engineering from a reputed UniversityExperience8-10 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering / Process Engineering / Technical in Heavy Equipment Industries with proven expertise in machining.What we offerCompetitive benefit package including Health Insurance, Personal Accident / Disability, Group Term Life Insurance, Annual health check-up, and voluntary insurance options.Time to recharge through 30 days PTO (with up to 10 days carry forward as Earned Leave stock)Financial support for continuing education.Employee Assistance Program.A global network of supportive colleagues and growth opportunitiesWe encourage applicants of all backgrounds and perspectives to apply - the more diverse our employees are, the stronger our team is.
