Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, the candidate will work for BCP manufacturing engineering team at Thiruvallur, India. The incumbent will be responsible for developing, implementing the new and advanced manufacturing solutions for New products assembly, Layout, equipment, materials, processes, and methods to improve safety, quality and reduce costs of company product and operations.
In this role incumbent will collaborate closely within Team, Design engineering, Purchase, Facility Engineering, Operations, quality, supply chain & planning.
The roles and responsibilities of a Manufacturing Engineer include, but are not limited to the following -
Manufacturing Technical Capability: -
- Create, execute and prove out the Layout, Process planning, Multi model Line balancing for NPI’s by satisfying the safety & ergonomic standards
- Understand & deliver the Global manufacturing standards for process planning
- Capability to do the Virtual builds and MBOM preparations.
Project Management skills: -
- Lead NPI projects with responsibility of overall program management and coordination at different phases of the program.
- Leads improvement projects to identify creative and innovative Lean techniques through adequate root cause analysis to address operational issues including ergonomic/safety risks, quality concerns, efficiency and cost savings improvements, and process bottlenecks.
- Provides training, development, and motivation for a staff capable of completing objectives and implementing cost reduction projects and meeting requirements of the manufacturing/assembly process
Manufacturing Process: -
- Develop the Process planning documents (PFD, SFMEA, PFMEA, CP) and execute the best-in-class solutions to achieve the Lean Manufacturing.
- Identify the suppliers for equipment’s & applications, Also Coordinates the installation of new machines, equipment and process changes to provide the most efficient and economical manufacture or assembly of quality parts.
- Capability to engineering designs to manufacturing technical data feasibility study with historical base for achieving customer or end user requirements.
Manufacturing Applications: -
- Develop and implements the integration of advanced manufacturing systems including SAP, MES, Team Center manufacturing, etc…
- Develop & use of Office 365 tools
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related technical discipline
- 8+ years overall experience with 5+ years in manufacturing engineering in Assembly.
- Thorough knowledge of the planning system, manufacturing operations, facilities, methods, and tooling
- Excellence communication and Analytical skills
- Microsoft office 365 Tools usage & Application development
- Team center vis mockup
- Top Candidates will also have
- Lean Green belt training
- Project Management Skills
- MES system
