We are looking for an experienced Senior Linux OS Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will manage our Linux environments, with a focus on system administration, vulnerability management, and user access management. This role requires expertise in User and Privileged Access Management, Pluggable Authentication Modules (PAM), OS security hardening, and Scripting & automation, along with strong troubleshooting skills in user access and OS administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Linux OS Administration: Perform L3-level administration, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of Linux systems. Manage user accounts, permissions, and other server-related configurations.
Vulnerability Management: Identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities in Linux systems to ensure security compliance and reduce risk exposure.
User Access Management: Oversee user provisioning, access control, and troubleshoot access issues. Implement and manage access policies in alignment with company security protocols.
Pluggable Authentication Modules (PAM): Configure and manage PAM for user authentication to enhance system security.
OS Security Hardening: Apply security best practices to harden Linux/Unix systems, following company and industry security standards.
Scripting & Automation: Use scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks and support ESA (Enterprise System Automation) efforts.
LDAP Management: Configure and manage LDAP for authentication and authorization.
Troubleshooting: Provide advanced troubleshooting for OS and user access issues, including root cause analysis and resolution.
Cross-platform Unix Knowledge: Support additional Unix OS platforms as needed (e.g., Solaris, AIX).
High-Availability & Cluster Management: Work with Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) for high availability and load balancing across systems.
8+ years in IT with a focus on Linux/Unix administration, User access management and OS security.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
