Job Description:

The individual in the role of Manager – Transaction Testing Team is responsible for completing the review of files to meet review objectives and managing a team of testers.


The key responsibility shall be to conduct a broad set of activities to perform the independent review of commercial and consumer loans and deposit accounts to identify and report any data anomalies and deficiencies. The candidate shall also assist US Manager in managing the deliverables for the overall team.


Experience in Loan Documentation Review is essential for the role. The Transaction Testing Team shall be responsible for verifying that established standards / data points for loan book and deposits held by the bank are followed and accurately reflecting for further processes/ reporting.


The person in this role will need to possess excellent analytical skills, attention to details, leadership and communication skills, have a growth mindset, and be accretive to Bank’s culture.


The individual shall be responsible to ensure that the transaction testing team follows the methods developed to track accuracy of stipulated data points across various bank systems also supporting the reporting on mentioned data points quality to management of respective business area, critical business partners and stakeholders as required.


In the role the candidate is expected to thoroughly learn about the business as these are highly critical, complex and time bound activities.


General operations functions may include, but are not limited to:


Essential Functions


  • Complete periodic reviews of stipulated data points related to loan and deposit accounts of the Bank.
  • Ensure data point deficiencies and potential sensitive issues are identified and escalated as appropriate.
  • Work under limited supervision and has an expanded skill set that is applied to the essential functions.
  • Follow the process steps to complete the transaction testing review with complete accuracy. Utilize knowledge/resources to resolve moderate to complex issues, escalate complex non-routine problems.
  • Ensure risks within the scope of the role/team are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled, consistent with bank’s risk appetite and all policies and processes established within the risk governance framework.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, as applicable.
  • Monitor and report SLAs and KPIs for the processes under review and applicable to incumbent / team.
  • Ensure compliance with all the Bank’s policies and procedures.
  • Provide oversight and guidance over assessment of complex issues, structure potential solutions and drive effective resolution with stakeholders, as applicable.

Business Partnering


  • Work closely with the Transaction Testing Team and wider Enterprise Risk Management Team as per guidance from Manager and requirement from time to time.
  • Follow up as needed for additional testing requirements.
  • Co-ordinating system accesses for self and the team
  • Reporting on periodic performance of the team, as required from time to time.

People Management


  • Mentor and manage team members to meet goals and deliver strong support to business partners.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback and training.
  • Provide new team members with adequate learning opportunities.
  • Support training programs for the team leveraging subject matter expertise and experience.

Required Education and Experience


  • Education: MBA Finance, CA, CFA, FRM, Commerce & Accounting background
  • Experience – Banking / Lending Experience- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Loan documents quality review.
  • Prior People Management experience is an added advantage.
