Manager – Technical Due Diligence, Asset Management

Job Summary: The company is looking to recruit an ambitious and energetic Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager- Technical Due Diligence , Asset Management, who will help CANDI to lead the revolution of solar. Given that CANDI is taking solar into a new realm with a new set of tools, the role will require creativity, innovation and a new way of thinking. 


Specifically, the job requires taking ownership of the following for the Indian AM team:


  • Lead and coordinate the technical due diligence activity for assets under M&A 
  • Arrange for site visits and various testing activities required to be done at identified assets for review
  • Maintain a structured dataroom of plant documentation 
  • Comprehensively assess completeness and quality of documentation
  • Analyse the historic performance data and understand optimization potentials
  • Carry out independent simulations using software like Helioscope and PVsyst and combine with historical data to create a realistic yield budget for financial modelling
  • Produce a realistic and itemized O&M cost budget (including maintenance reserve accounts if necessary) ready for processing into financial modelling
  • Work with various site teams for concluding necessary plant modifications for necessary performance optimisations required
  • Create a suitable retrofit plan including BOQ, designs, budgets and timelines  w.r.t safety, usability and performance optimizations
  • Co-ordinate with various stakeholders for closure of HOTO activities into Asset Management Operations.

Location: Pune or Mumbai (Gurgaon or Bangalore can be considered)


Hours: Full time. 


Job Requirements:


  • Minimum 8 years of Experience in Rooftop Solar PV O&M / Asset Management / Project installation
  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Software skills - PVsyst, Helioscope, Google SketchUp and AutoCAD
  • Basic computer understanding and reporting skills are a must
  • Solar Performance analytics including performance driver identification
  • Experience in O&M cost estimations tailored to site quality and specifics
  • Should be willing to travel at sites whenever required
  • Having exposure to HT networks and transformer maintenance is a plus
