Role Overview:

The Manager, Supply Chain Human Rights and Regulatory Compliance will be responsible for leading the identification, mitigation, and disclosure of activities Otis is taking to mitigate risks to human rights in its supply chain.

On a typical day you will:

-Be a subject matter expert in human rights topics and global regulations pertaining to the supply chain including conflict minerals

-Engage with suppliers, cross-functional global, regional, and operations-level teams to identify and mitigate risks to human rights in the supply chain

-Advance processes to ensure sourcing and procurement activities are compliant to regulatory requirements and mitigate risks to human rights in the supply chain

-Raise knowledge and awareness, within Otis and with our suppliers, of risks to human rights and mitigation methods

-Prepare the Supply Chain content for regulatory filings and other disclosures in conjunction with ESG, Legal, and your Supply Chain colleagues

What You Will Need to be Successful:

  • Remain knowledgeable on the global regulatory requirements for human rights in the supply chain including conflict minerals.  Work with your colleagues in Supply Chain, Operations, Legal, ESG, Digital Technology, and others to ensure the sourcing and procurement processes are compliant to these requirements.  Identify gaps, align on the actions required to close the gaps, then facilitate their closure.
  • Regularly assess the potential for human rights risks in Otis’ supply chain.  Ensure processes, communication, and training are in place to mitigate these risks.
  • Execute internal and external due diligence, including surveys, to support the human rights and conflict minerals programs for the supply chain.  Analyze results and facilitate corrective action as improvement opportunities are identified.
  • In conjunction with Legal, ESG, and the local entities, prepare the Supply Chain content for the global regulatory filings related to human rights and conflict minerals.  This includes facilitating the internal cross-functional approval process.  Typical examples are the US Dodd-Frank conflict minerals statement, the Modern Slavery statements for multiple countries, the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, and the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting and Due Diligence Directives.
  • Monitor progressing technologies to assist with risk identification and due diligence.
  • Develop, maintain, and deploy training material within Otis and for the supply chain to raise awareness of human rights risks in the supply chain and to promote risk mitigation.
  • Prepare the monthly and quarterly supplier diversity reports and facilitate the cross-functional internal approval process.
  • Experience launching, communicating, and providing training for new initiatives to a large global organization.
  • Strong program and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.  English is required.
