Job Description
To Manage day to day activities in the John Crane Pune Operations and Service Center. The person will also be responsible for EHS, Quality, Manufacturing, Operational Excellence & Facilities management across the site.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Create and Maintain a High Level of Customer Oriented Processes to improve performance and to manage, lead and motivate personnel
- Manage and Promote interdepartmental communication from order entry to cash process to ensure the needs and expectations of the customer are fulfilled.
- Develop a continuous improvement culture
- Identify potential risks and its possible impact on Safety, Environmental & Quality Management Systems and implement improvements to reduce the risk and impact.
- Ensure that safety, health and environmental rules and regulations are met or exceeded
- Align team towards ISO 9001 quality management system, represent team in quality audits.
- Conduct seminar/customer trainings.
- Troubleshooting of mechanical seal/system and coupling.
- Collaboration with other teams, influence own team members to meet the objectives.
- Plans the use of facilities, equipment, and personnel to meet current and future manufacturing requirements, including department budgets and guidelines, plant layout and improvements, and capital expenditure program.
- Responsible for training plans for the team.
- Collaborate with global teams in their initiatives of developing suppliers and maintaining the Plant to John Crane global standards.
- Ensure EHS standards at the site are maintained to JC standards.
- Ensure the day-to-day activities of the Super Service Center are completed on time.
- Responsible for the smooth execution of the First Fit orders.
- Drive internal operations to achieve monthly business objectives
- The timely & correct order booking, amendment, liaising with customer’s, Bangalore office , Purchase & Operation team , CPG , PDO , ISC etc.
The Individual
Skills and Experience:
- BE in Mechanical / Chemical from reputed university with 12 to15 year’s relevant Industrial experience
- Good Knowledge in Pump or Seal (API –Piping Plans) or similar fluid control systems products.
- Work experience in mechanical seal industries, EPC and pump / compressor OEMS, will be added advantage for this position.
- Working knowledge with API 682, API 610, ASME / ANSI Piping and pressure vessels standards are essential.
- Commendable knowledge on ASME Section VIII, Division 1, is added merit to the candidate.
- Manage a team of 10 for the shop floor activities.
- Having experience in managing the Service Center activities like Seals Assemblies, Testing, day to day operations & the execution of the First Fit orders.
- Support safe workplace cultures and compliance with Smiths EH&S
