Functional Description 


CFR CCO team owns the credit loss provision for the consumer and commercial portfolio in India. The position leads a highly dynamic team which partners closely with CoE teams to drive best in class credit risk capabilities and strategies – across acquisition, underwriting, customer management and collections. It collaborates effectively with business teams to drive profitable growth, partners with then and GSG teams to drive superior customer experience and coordinates with CRO, Compliance, GCO teams to always ensure regulatory compliance. The team has created a niche for itself in exploring collaboration with several FinTech’s and partners to upgrade the risk infrastructure in India.


Responsibilities


  • Incumbent will be part of the India market CCO Team and would be responsible for leading regulatory initiatives for CFR across the consumer and commercial portfolios
  • Incumbent will be responsible to ensure adherence and compliance to regulations for Credit risk function of the bank.
  • Incumbent will be responsible to provide necessary support for managing the internal and external audits (Including RBI & NYSDFS) relating to Credit risk management function.
  • Manage and support effective and comprehensive functioning of AEBC Credit Risk Management Committee (CRMC) and AEBC Wilful Defaulter Identification Committee (WDIC)
  • Incumbent should be able to understand and interpret RBI guidelines impacting Credit risk management function
  • Partnering closely with key bank stakeholders to develop and maintain Credit Risk Management Policies
  • Ensuring understanding, alignment and compliance of American Express Management Policies.
  • Ensure timely submission of data for onward regulatory reporting

Qualifications


  • Strong quantitative, analytical, project management and structured problem-solving skills in Credit Risk Management
  • An advanced quantitative degree in business administration, engineering, statistics, CA, or economics and/or equivalent work experience will be preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and on aggressive timelines.
  • Effective team player and be able to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Nurture and develop a high performing team
  • SQL, SAS, Hive, or equivalent programming skills preferable.
  • Candidates with prior risk management or Auditing or financial analysis experience are preferred.
