The position

Lead and manage a team of Global Medical Advisors in Medical Affairs SOE DK GMA-BLR. Set strategic direction and manage Global Medical Affairs deliverables for Diabetes products, including modern and new generation insulins and Semaglutide.


Oversee the generation, interpretation, and communication of scientific data to ensure proper usage of Novo Nordisk products. Develop and execute publication strategies and plans, including RWE publications.


  • Provide medical education to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) through scientific meetings and symposia.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and International Professional Associations (IPAs).
  • Ensure the integration of patient voices and obtain their input through Advisory Boards.
  • Manage processes for performance management, individual development plans, and resource planning.
  • Drive strategic initiatives and continual improvement within the team and department.
Qualifications
  • M.D. with substantial clinical and/or research expertise in relevant areas such as Endocrinology, Cardiology, General Practice, or Internal Medicine.
  • At least 5 years of clinical and/or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Strong clinical and/or research background in diabetes mellitus.
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English.
  • Demonstrated research experience (e.g., publications).
  • Willingness to coach colleagues and support team development.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent presentation and strategic thinking skills.
  • Additional education and experience in pharma business/marketing.
  • Experience working in an international matrix organisation.
  • Additional scientific degree in research (e.g., PhD).
  • Experience and willingness to work in a continuously developing environment.
About the department

Global Medical Affairs, GBS (GMA GBS) is an extension of the Global Medical Affairs team in Headquarters (HQ) in Denmark and Zurich and is based out of Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore, India. The team consists of highly motivated scientific and medical advisors, project managers, medical illustrators and publication manager working together with HQ, regions and affiliates across the world. Our core competencies are communicating scientific and medical knowledge on our products to the external scientific community and across the organization; delivering external medical events including in-house content development and project management; and Publication planning.
